Watch the World Series of Poker H.O.R.S.E. Event Live at PKR

Monday, June 29, 2009

LONDON, England - The final table of the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E, the event widely regarded by the purists as the true benchmark of the world's most complete poker player, is set to
get underway this Tuesday at 21:00 GMT, and will be broadcast around the globe live and exclusively at wsop.pkr.com – PKR.com's very own WSOP micro-site.

H.O.R.S.E sees players battle it out across a range of five different variations; Hold'em, Omaha, Razz, Stud and Eight or better, making it the most unique and interesting event of the World Series, and ensuring only the most well rounded player can take the converted first prize along with the David 'Chip' Reese trophy – named after the former winner who died an untimely death in 2007. Other previous winners also include Freddy Debb and Scotty Nguyen.

A list that read like a who's-who of poker lined up for start of the tournament on Friday, 26th June, with the $50,000 buy-in making the H.O.R.S.E the most costly open event in the world and ensuring only the cream of the crop were able to afford to take their seat and play for a first prize of over $1,250,000. Now almost down to the final eight, with players like eight-time WSOP bracelet winner Eric Seidel, 2009 World Series hotshot Vitaly Lunkin and Aussie motor-mouth Tony G on the verge of being there, this looks likely to be the most exciting and intense H.O.R.S.E ever.

No doubt set to be the most popular event of PKR.com's hugely successful 2009 World Series of Poker final table broadcasts, last year's H.O.R.S.E coverage saw an audience of over 200,000 viewers watch the final table and that figure looks sure to be even bigger this time around.

PKR.com Marketing Director, Simon Prodger said, "For me there's no more exciting event to watch than the H.O.R.S.E. Last year's event final table was one of the most thrilling I have ever watched, but looking at the players left this time around I would go as far to say that this one promises to be even better. I personally cannot wait."

Watch the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E final table live on wsop.pkr.com for free from 21:00 GMT on Tuesday.
