Everest Poker Celebrity Event a Success

CANNES, France-- On the 17th May 2009 actors, celebrities, businessmen and poker players descended on the famous Hotel Du Cap in Cannes, France, for the Wilhelm and Karl Maybach Foundation Gaming
Everest Poker is devoted to international poker players.  night, sponsored by Everest Poker.

Celebrity poker host Jamie Gold was joined by MC Phillip Baker in welcoming players who had donated $1,500 to sit down in an exclusive poker room. Players then participated in a No Limit Texas Hold' em tournament with exclusive prizes, including a $5,000 gold watch and a $15,000 Las Vegas WSOP package courtesy of Everest Poker who was the poker sponsor of this event.

Outside the poker room some high profile guests graced the red carpet as the sun set over the beautiful Cape of Antibes. Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt stopped by and were inundated by the sea of media attending. After a brief meeting and drink with the nights hosts, they were quickly whisked away to their next engagement.

Also attending was Willem Dafoe, in town to promote his new film Antichrist. Dafoe spent the evening conversing with the rest of the guests and posing for pictures, including meeting Jamie Gold for the first time. Emile Hirsch, star of films such as Milk and Alpha Dog also joined the party, closely followed by Watchmen super-woman Malin Akerman. Other attendees included Sunflower Children president Helena Houdova, actress and model Phoebe Price and actress Hofit Golan.
