LAS VEGAS - (PRESS RELEASE) -- Las Vegas Sands Corp. announced today that the Sands Macao, the first western-operated casino in Asia, has opened the stunning new "Level of Fortune" gaming
The Sands Macau area located on the second floor of the Sands Macao.
The new 10,000 square foot area sits adjacent to the Sands' 888 Las Vegas buffet and hosts 28 table games, including baccarat and blackjack. The Level of Fortune also includes the addition of 67 slot machines. The addition is the first phase of an overall expansion plan that will be completed in August and will increase capacity by over 60 percent.
"The Level of Fortune' is a translation of the Chinese "Ru Yi," which is a scepter symbolizing good wishes, wealth, happiness and prosperity," said Mr. Frank McFadden, chief operating officer of Venetian Macau Limited, a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corp. "Macao has certainly been our "Ru Yi" and with the Level of Fortune we impart to our guests the same good wishes."
The 28 additional tables located in the new gaming area bring the total of the Sands Macao's tables to 438. The total number of slots increases to 921.
Las Vegas Sands Corporation owns and operates casino resorts, including The Venetian in Las Vegas and The Sands Macao Casino in Macao.
