Ashanti Performs at Fallsview Casino Resort in October

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario -- Fallsview Casino Resort announced today that award-winning R&B singer/songwriter Ashanti will perform one show only in the resort's Avalon Theatre on Saturday, October
Ashanti will perform at the Fallsview Casino in October  11.

A multi-talented singer, composer, dancer, actress and model, Ashanti burst onto the popular music scene in 2002 when her self-titled debut album landed in the # 1 spot on both the Billboard Top 200 and R&B album charts. The album sold over 500,000 copies in its first week alone and spawned three Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. It also won a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B album.

In June, Ashanti released her fourth studio album, The Declaration, a collection of songs she wrote herself.

She has appeared in several motion pictures, including Resident Evil Extinction, John Tucker Must Die and Coach Carter.

She has also published her first book of poetry, Foolish/Unfoolish: Reflections on Love, which is currently in its sixth edition.
