San Diego Man Receives Big Holiday Gift From Southern California Casino

SAN DIEGO, CA - A San Diego man received a big gift from Viejas Casino just in time for the holidays. George Alemon, Jr. won the big prize of $10,000 on December 15, concluding the “Play to Shop”

Alemon, a resident of Chula Vista, was the lucky winner of $5,000 cash and a $5,000 shopping spree at the Viejas Outlet Center. Alemon and his wife were shocked to be chosen as the winner for the drawing that won them the $10,000 prize.

The Alemons, who have been playing at Viejas Casino since it opened, were not the only lucky recipients of the jackpot. Vera Alemon decided to take part of their winnings to purchase toys at KB Toys and donate them to the Salvation Army.

“I am a firm believer that you must give to receive,” said Vera Alemon. “We have always been givers, and believe that if God grants us the opportunity to give back, then we should, especially to the children around the holidays.”

To be eligible to win the “Play to Shop” jackpot, V Club cardholders won electronic entries into the drawing for every 15 Base V Points they earned.

The Alemons were able to complete their holiday shopping at the Viejas Outlet Center with the remainder of the shopping spree, and made house payments with the cash, making the holidays a little easier on everyone.
