Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve will start the festivities as it is broadcast on casino and bar plasma televisions. Guests can accompany America's quintessential New Year's countdown show with free Boomtown party favors and noisemakers.
Then, as the New Year arrives, a balloon drop will cover Boomtown's outer cabaret area and southeast casino floor with colorful balloons. The New Year will also be toasted with free champagne.
In the Family Fun CenterSM, a balloon drop will welcome 2006. Free cookies and refreshments will also be served in the Fun Center's award-winning party room.
Boomtown's Can Can TheaterSM will rock in the New Year with a free performance by the Lelands from 7 p.m.. to 4 a.m. The free performances will highlight a band with a long history of unique music. Lelands bandleader Lee Henriksen has been performing smooth melodies since forming the Lelands in 1961 in Hawaii. Since then, the group has been bopping out cover hits of the 40s to new millennium favorites. Smooth tunes of all genres, from rock, Texas two-step and blues to country and swing, emanate from the band's assortment of guitars, trumpets, trombones and piano.
